Dolphin v 1.0.2 help!

I legally acquired an ISO, it runs and i can play it but it is IMPOSSIBLY SLOW!!! I mean 9 fps tops! I read that previous thread about v. 1.0.2 and how its the fastest and thats what I use. I tried v. 1.0.3 and i get a max of around 4 fps, any help please?
