Questions

Since the sticky said that the GC discs can't be read by anycd/DVD drive, how would I be able to make ISOs from which to run my games, or run the game directly from the DVD drive?

Is the dolphin project still alive? Does it play any games yet? (don't warn me for these, I'm not requesting anything, or asking against the rules)

Buy a broadband adapter and Phatasy Star Online game.

It is alive. And you can run a lot of games (not playable speed). Check the compatibility list.

Still, I don't understand. The adapter was used to dump the games illegally, so how could I use the emulator legally if I can't get the games legally??

Why can't the GC discs be read, they are those small 1.4 DVDs sold in stores, PCs can read those

And the dolphin home page says that there's not going to be any new releases, so doesn't this make the whole dolphin project dead?

Dumping your own games using the Braodband Adapter is completly legal. You can then use your dumps with an emulator.

The GC disk can't be read by PCs because of its encryption. (And NO they don't spin backwards...)

The Dolphin project is pretty much at a stand still right now. I highly doubt we will see a new release anytime soon. But it does run alot of games though.
The only active project right now is Gekko (no release yet).

It is a WIP emulator which is yet to be released.

It was also the GC's codename, or part of the GC (Processor most likely), i forget

Gekko = CPU
Flipper = GPU

Dolphin = GC's codename during development
