The whole thread makes no sense. How can a game be described as working when it isnt even playable past the charater select?

drwilsonng what are your pc specs and if they're not awesome what are your emu settings?
Looks like the game is running full speed on your comp but my e5200 was so slow on DSP LLE I didn't even bother trying to get past the opening cutscenes.

For me single core is much faster than dual core.
D3d is faster than Opengl.
The game is very unstable and crash randomly.

Indeed.

Some bad news coming out of Australia that is hopefully a rumor. We hear that New Super Mario Bros. Wii has actually been leaked in Australia, and pirates are already spreading the game around. Of course, Nintendo has once again tried to stop pirates from getting any use out of the game.

This time, it seems that a pirated version of the game will let you play anywhere from 3 to 7 minutes, and then you'll get a disc read error. Unfortunately, pirates are already working through this issue. Thanks to Underyx for the heads up!

It's a bad dump, not copy protection.

It's true, but no one can tell if it's copy protection. Either it is or it's a bad dump, and that means either the dumper was doing it wrong or Nintendo did something that causes games to be dumped badly. Either way there's apparently another upload going on with a copy that works perfectly, so it's all wierd.

Sonicandtails - November 7, 2009 at 4:00 pm:
A clean scene release is already out and about. Copy protection is still there.
And now, all of a sudden, everybody knows someone who owns a gaming shop and sold them a copy of the game 10 days before its release date... what a coincidence, huh?!

If you wish to dispute this then there must be a battle to define the winner. Being the current champion Gladiator@ has pickings on the battle location and stipulations of the match.

To be able to play New Super Mario Bros. Wii on Dolphin with NO errors, hangs which confirms that the scrubbed rip is no bad dump you will need the latest build found here :

Dolphin - Windows Live

You will also need Gamecube DSP.zip‎ found here and place the files in Dolphin\Sys\GC

Gamecube DSP Rom files - SnesOrama Emulation Community (link removed)

And use the settings found here :

New Super Mario Bros works but not playable.

Remember to use the LLE Sound plugin in settings. That is the most important thing otherwise you will get stuck at how many players screen.

Discussion about illegally acquired games goes against forum rules.
Linking to rom sites is also frowned upon.

Additionally, if the game's reported to not even have been released yet, reporting compatibility could be akin to admitting questionable acquisition.
