Pikmin 1/2 sound issues

Noticed this a few days back, my copies of Pikmin have perfect sound for a good first 15 minutes and it all goes downhill from there until the sound completely turns off. Is there anything I can enable to help buffer it better or is this some sort of progressive buildup of some sort. I've searched for Pikmin threads but it doesn't seem to be tops on the important list around here.

That happens in a few games including Zelda Twilight Princess. The DSP emulation isnt quite complete yet.
