Wind Waker, Can I run it?

I would like to know how well will I be able to run Wind Waker on my PC

Intel Pentium Dual Core E6300@2.8ghz
Radeon HD4850 512MB
4GB RAM

Also, are there still problems with the sound ingame that I've heard about?

Yes, you should have no problems running the game at all. The sound works very well.

Well I tested it and it runs about 20-17 FPS while on the starting island, wouldn't call it exactly "no problems running it at all" but thanks anyway.

Hmm I'm using dolphin SVN 4416 with dual core enabled and all the other things that came as default.

EDIT: I'm using Windows XP 32 bit if that needs to be noted.

It performs about the same with the DX9 plugin, 17-22 FPS outside and 30 FPS inside houses.

Well duh you have a quad core at 3.8GHz
and frameskipping only makes the game choppy unfortunately.

Sort of related:

Can anyone tell me if either Wind Waker or Twilight Princess are fully 100% completable in Dolphin? I'd like to use the emulator to play through one again, but if it I can't finish I may just go back to the Gamecube. Thanks.

Great, thanks. One little problem I've run into so far on Wind Waker is the telescope bug (screen goes black on telescope events). I've done some looking around on the forums and through google, but can't seem to find a patch that works for me (pal version of the game on an x64 OS).

Any suggestions on a way around this or a build that's generally good to use for Wind Waker?

zOrz try with DolphinIL(for 32bit) if you were not using it before. with dx9 it should be faster. if that still dont help you a 64bit win os should.
i have the same cpu as you @2.3ghz and i get 24-30 fps. I'm using win764bit though.

Does this happen while using the OpenGL plugin too?

I can't get OpenGL to work period (at least in the revision I'm trying). I also tried Rev. 4428 and it ran slooow...like abnormally slow, even though all the settings were correct. Also, DX9 didn't show up in the menu for that rev. even though the plugin was in the plugin folder. I don't really know what's going on here.

Huh, that could be it. I recently updated (even though I'm on Windows 7), but I think that was march 2009. As for OpenGL, I just got it working in Revision 4361 and that got me past the telescope scene. Thanks. I remember reading months ago (maybe longer) that DX was the way to go, is OpenGL support just as good now? It seems a bit slower, but I can always overclock my E6750 2.67 C2D to 3.4 or so.

Anyways, thanks for all the help.
