Dolphin (No Plugins)

I downloaded the dolphinx32 3972 from the dolphin-emu website and used the .exe to copy the file into a folder. But when I run the app and try to load a game it says there is no pad_simple.dll but I checked in the filed under plugins and there is a pad_simple.dll. But it doesnt appear when I launch the program and go to config. What is the problem? I have tryed download all of the different versions of dolphin on the site and from many other sources and I seem to not be able to get this plugin pad_simple working. Can someone help me. I cant figure this out and have been trying to find a downloadable plugin for the past 3 hours.

I am new at the Dolphin Emu.

Update your DirectX to the latest bi-monthly release, you need to do this irregardless of whether Windows Vista/7 come with DirectX 10 since Dolphin is a DirectX 9 application and needs the DirectX 9 runtimes and dll's to be updated.

Not to mention all stock Windows installs come with a very basic version of DirectX which is necessary to run the OS, as a result most newer games and applications won't run until DirectX is updated.

thanks for the advice but it didnt make any difference at all. I have an XP. I updated it to the direct X9 and relaunched dolphin and it still doesnt show any pad configs in the configuration panel. Any more advice. Im sure the Pad_simple.dll is in the plugin folder it just wont read it for some reason. This problem occurs with all the versions of dolphin I find out there. They all work but they dont load the pad_simple.dll I just wanna know how I configure that plugin.

Latest bi-monthly release of DirectX is August 2009, additionally you may want to install the Visual C++ Redistributable 2008 (x86) if you are running a 32-bit operating system or Visual C++ Redistributable 2008 (x64) if you are running a 64-bit operating system.
