Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance

Has anyone played this recently? I've found it is kinda slow, I get anywhere from 9-21 FPS, and 30+ FPS in the menu. I have only just started it though and am in the levels in the sewers, does it get faster?

I have a radeon HD4870 video card and a 3.0ghz dual core processor :S I hope this is sufficient.

As aside questions, what determines a fast FPS? Is it more dependent on your video card, cpu, or an equal mixture of both? And are there any speed hacks for dolphin like there are in pcsx?

I have this one too..slow as hell. Probably due to the engine itself of the game. I got to the rat killing quest in the cellar. I quit bc of the slowness.
