why doesn't dolphin support quad core?

wouldn't it make it much easier to run all the games with much better FPS?

A lot of people don't have Quad Core still, but as soon as devs finish the emulator, they can optimize it for less requirement processors

Probably will never happen. Like PCSX2, supporting quad-core processors would require a whole rewrite of the emulator

Only Quad support is good for using a 3rd core to do the DSP Work, but it won't help optimize the emulated CPU core and video core, just that the DSP workload is on its own core.

These days quad core can overclock as good as a dual core. 5GHz on air is possible on a quad core, good enough for you?

point is...

Theres to much involved with threading an application more then 2 ways, especially when theres no fool proof way to sync threads across multiple cores in real time.
