Dolphin and Windows 7
Hi all new to the forums. anyhow, I am trying to get Dolphin working with the windows 7 OS. i've read reports of people who have it and it's working great for them, better than vista in some cases. The main reason i have windows 7 is because my PS3 controller is recognized on it and i would love to play SSBB/ Naruto Ship: EX 3 using the PS3 troller. I have the pcsx 2 emulator and all my games work perfectly playing with a PS3 contorller. Well when i try and DL dolphin, after I winRAR the file i get an error saying ! C:\Users\Warren\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Te mporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\P46JTT7X\Dolphin_2666[2].zip: Unexpected end of archive any help would be appreciated. i have all the games already rdy to be played. i just don't have the emulator and i can't seem to get the DL working at all. maybe i need something else on my OS, or some other file, or maybe i'm missing something so darn obvious, that it just whiffed over me. thx in advance! |

fiddling around to get my Ps3 controller working but as for using the keyboard (which i dread) naruto and SSBB work perfectly. for NS: GNT EX3 VERY few graphical glitches where there are black textures instead of animated (such as rasengan, or chidori) but thats rare. FPS wise its flawless. SSBB minor sound loops and whenever i do certain final smashes it will freeze but other than that it's absolutely playable. got that working through this link Dolphin-emu - Discussion Forum: Super Smash Bros. Brawl yes my copy is PAL...not sure how american brawl would work as of yet, but i can try it. as for a followup question, anyone know how to get the PS3 troller working? if i use Dolphin KB/X360, it wont recognize my ps3 controller as if its not even plugged into my PC. i can load the game and play with my keyboard just fine tho. if i try using njoy v0.4 by falconforever i get an error saying: "Could not initialize SDL" "Unable to create Helper Window Class: error 1410" if i use njoy v0.3 by falconforever i can edit the controls fine, but when i try and run the ISO it crashes saying: "Dolphin.exe has stopped working" and i have to close. |

I noticed an increase, but unfortunately my Vista is 32-bit and 7 is 64-bit so I'm not sure how much of the diff is from that and how much is from Vista to 7. Someone mentioned that the 64-bit versions should be the same speedwise, but I can't say that for sure.

Actually, no. Donīt talk out of your ass. I can say for sure that Vista and 7 are two completely different things, even though they share a very similar look (Which proves to be deceiving for people like yourself). 7, IMO, is a HUGE improvement over Vista. NOW. To the subject at hand. Iīm using 7 as we speak, and it works just fine for me. To me, there seems to be a slight speed increase over both XP and Vista. Itīs easy for me to compare, since i have them all installed.
