slow games

hi there!

i've some questions about the speed in dolphin(SVNR 1421). my pc specs are as follow:

core2duo @2,6 Ghz (overclovked E6300)
2 gb ram
ati hd 4850
vista 32bit sp1

i think that most games should run well with my hardware. but some don't. i've tried Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash, Metroid Prime etc etc...but only Smash Brothers Melee works fine with about 30-40 fps in game. what can /should i do? increase the cpu/gpu power? get 64bit system? try another emulator?

64 bit does not help so much, for now, does not exists other emu better that dolphin, Dolphin is the best emu, if you want full speed, better play the games in your Gamecube or Wii for now

My PC manages to run melee at 50-60 FPS, when your system is more powerful. What plugins do you use? Do you have the latest drivers for your video card?

i've the latest directx9, ati catalyst 8.11...
i must say that although after starting dolphin with an error namend "Panic-failed to load plugin plugins\plugins_videodx9.dll" (the .dll file is in the right directory...) most games start properly...

i use the:

dolphin opengl plugin (graphics)
dolphin dsp-hle plugin (DSP)


dual core enambled...

don't know why all the games (i tried) except smash brothers won't run fast enough to play...

@chilango: yes, you're right! the best way to play the games is to run it on the console

To fix the DX9 plugin problem, you need to install the latest DirectX:
DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer
Maybe its just Vista or background programs that are slowing your computer down.

Overclock more for more speed or buy faster processor 3Ghz+ is recommended..
