Dolphin on Vista -> file write error

Hello guys,

I feel a bit stupid because I can't even use Dolphin on my vista X86. Let me explain (searches on this forum didn't return anything) :

I launch DolphinWx.exe (in a directory placed at the root of my system drive), then I try to go to "configure menu". Then I get a message "Could not read .\User\Wii\shared2\sys\SYSCONF please recover the file to this location".
In fact this file is present (I have extracted the 1349 version, or some other versions too). Then when I set the ISO directory and click OK, I get "Error creating directory" errors.

I've checked the files, they are not read only. I've checked the user rights, I've granted "total control" to all users and groups. I've tried to force "Windows XP" compatibility, ran it with "Administrator privileges", but nothing changed. Once, I don't know why, I could launch and configure the app without problem, but now it is not working anymore.

I used 1349 and 1378 builds (with the last DirectX update)

Thanks for your help

Good troubleshooting on your part. I have not come across this error before. Hopefully one of the Devs can help you.

Thanks for your answer.
I can't explain why my vista refuses to grant write access to Dolphin. I've read somewhere that to give an app a maximum rights, I had to move it to my "documents" folder, but it didn't change anything.

I have even installed a fresh version of Vista Ultimate x86 (for another reason) and the problem is still here.

Definitely I'll keep visiting this thread. It might be very useful.
No 'maximum rights' to give on my Vista Home Premium x86.
