unified graphic plugin?
so that, why not create an unified ghaphic plugin like other emulator, DX and OGL in one plugin, and the user choose what render engine to use?

It would just be a whole more of a mess if all the code for DX and OGL is in one plugin at least for now, the opengl uses the cg compiler to render, while the DX side has its own way of rendering. If Cg works with Direct3D, then maybe....

and what will be the benefit of this? seems like it will be a pain in the butt for programmers, to have aaaaaall this code on a singe plugin. i rather have several ogl plugins made by various coders, like epsxe or pj64 do have actually (in time.... )

Yeah the great thing about open source is that anyone can jump aboard and create new plugins, features and contribute fixes. Brush up on a fair amount of documentation, strengthen you're programming skills and have a crack at it.

it wouldnt be a pain at all if you know how to implement DX and opengl.. lol if i knew how to implement graphics like that, i would take a shot at it. also it wouldnt be that much code, like 2mb at most lol :P the code would all depend on how well the author codes, its not a bad idea but its not a necessary idea.. however, i personally think its a good idea.

i code in asm and c++, but i never had to implement graphics into a program like this.. in either event, i said it because i know how to code, im not 100% on how it would be, but i imagine it could be coded and work great.. i tought myself asm and c though, no classes, i learned what i wanted to learn heh
