[Wii] Wario Land: Shake It! / The Shake Dimension (Official Thread)

Wario Land: Shake It! / The Shake Dimension

I improved the controls for Wario Land Shake It in the latest revision so I thought I'd make an "official" thread for the game. Here is some information

Graphics
  • Comment: OpenGL is the best plugin for this game, DirectX has graphics artifacts
  • Recommended settings:
Copy EFB to Texture: Disabling it may give a small speed increase if you have a slow graphics card but it will make some graphics disappear
Sound
  • Comment: I think all sound works
  • Recommended settings:
Enable Other Audio: Disabling this may give you a higher fps if you have a slow computer
Recommended controls:
  • Play with gamepad: If you want to play the game with a gamepad you can map the keys to your gamepad with Xpadder, I recommend version 4.11 or 5.3 (linked below) unless you already have one of those programs.
  • Sideways D-Pad: Yes (since the Wiimote is supposed to be held sideways)
  • Circle to square: No, it has no effect unless the analog stick is used
  • Roll and pitch: With analog triggers (if you chose to use the keyboard you have to configure the 'Pitch Left' and 'Pitch Right' keys)
Roll Range: 0 (Roll is not needed in this game as far as I know)
Pitch Range: 90 (90 means 90° tilted Wiimote)
    Invert roll or pitch: No
  • Triggers Input: Select XInput if you have a Xbox 360 pad
Special controls and recorded movements

Shake things and pound ground: The old method of using the S button still works, you can also use the Shake move that is posted in the Wii Remote plugin thread. You can set the shake recording to for example keyboard key 3 and map it to a trigger button on your gamepad.

Using rev.1122 i get sound in intro, but none in gameplay (cant wait for sound to be fixed)

Have you been able to save, if so, how?

Latest revision is 1151. John did fix and improve Wiimote emulation.

On topic: I like this game pretty much. And seeing that you have improved it more and more is making me happier. Thanks.

You are welcome!

Do you have to config the pad in Dolphin emulator first ?

No the buttons are active all the time for all games. But for example S (shake the wiimote) may not have any effect in some games.
