Whats happened with the GC emulation
I think that the developers are so genius, they are developing an emulator that can play step by step day by day more wii games and they are progressing very fast. But i have a question i have an ati radeon x1050 and AMD Dual core 4000+ and for example i can play super smash bros melee with OGL plugin at full speed without black screens and with full sound without crashes, so if with this machine i can play smash bros at that speed in consequence the problem is not the machine,is the emulator that all agree at forum that is in development, and is great. So my question is why dont try to make a better a Best GC emulation with full sound on the almost games with full save and save state and full speed, and then develope the WIi emulation, at this time i cant play mario sunshine properly and i see screenshots for Mario galaxy ingame so i cant play on old game properly and an actual game too ( dont properly) I cant see luigis mansion black screen even with the OGL ATI fix, Mario sunshine doesnt work at more than 10 fps and at the latest revision the GC is getting worst ( is not my think) the FPS are coming slower in every revision, so thats my question. I think or i feel like the wii emulation has more priority than GC the problem es that GC emulation is gettin worst every day what does everyone think?

Because they work on whatever pleases them, it's their hobby and thus it must be fun for them to keep them motivated, being it working on Wii, supporting the Linux builds, or whatever. The project is open-source, if you want something improved, download the source and start coding yourself, else wait patiently without annoying developers.

Ok, whatever your native language is, I think it has punctuations marks just like English, so I suggest you use them. If you can't do that, at least enter a line break every so often. Now, even though it was very difficult to understand your question, I am going to attempt to answer it. Usually, when coding an emulator, the developers add computability to each new version by increasing the accuracy of the emulation. Sometimes, there will be major, sudden speed gains, but most of the time, the speed will decrease by a negligible amount (think one more instruction per cycle!), but the compatibility will increase for quite a few games. The best way to deal with this is to play the games you can, and just wait for the ones you can't. It is also useful to look at older revisions and compare your speed on those to the newest ones. |

I don't think it got worse. If one game stoped I bet atlest one other game is working now.

I just hope that in one or two year (to say some date), we will have at least one fully emulated console, and not a undone emulator that can't emulate neither of them... I think that, besides the fact that the developers code what they want, this proyect must have real goals to reach...

Yes, it is probably much, MUCH harder to do it more accurately than I can ever imagine. I have faith though, that eventually it might all be working out.

Well one example is Skies of Arcadia Legends. It seems like the higher the revision get, the more and more SoAL is unplayable. It used to be able to go in game. Now, the projection is messed up, menus and dialogue are missing, DC is broken, and I can't get sound anymore. This is just one game that shows retrogression while I'm aware other games have continued making strides (ZTP for example). There used to be a time when both ZTP and SoAL worked albeit with some errors, but I've noticed that the more ZTP's performance increased, the more SoAL's performance decreased. This leads me to think that emulation is being catered to the more "popular" games and deviating from the general emulation of the console. Now with great strides being made on the Wii scene, I worry the GC will be left behind altogether (which leaves little for me to do since SoAL is my only game to test/play).

Still, from what I've seen, emulation developement frequently involves certain fixes being made that could break other areas, because it's that complex to understand how to emulate it 'properly'. I'm still amazed at how far this emulator has come with all its complexity. I'm all for general emulation solutions, unless it's absolutly not feasable or to too complex for anyone to understand.
