Dolphin opens game, delivers popping sound and no video
So, I'm a first time Dolphin user. I got the latest SVN of the X86 version, and downloaded the most recent DX9 runtimes. I think I'm set, but this makes me question that. Here are my specs: Windows XP Home Edition (32 bit, to clarify) AMD Athlon 64 X2 GeForce 8800GT 2GB RAM I've got a Metroid Prime ISO here, and when I open it, I get a blank black screen, and popping/skipping audio. The game is running, and responds to buttons on my 360 gamepad (I hear the selection noises in the middle of all the popping) but I see nothing. Switching the graphics plugin doesn't help. Also, Dual Core mode doesn't work, anyone know why? Last edited by TheExAm; September 13th, 2008 at 04:36.. |

First of all, you should've read the forum rules before you asked your question....."DON'T ASK FOR ISOs." Its the emulator which has the problem, not your metroid game. The emulator is still in development so don't expect anything from it. |

All I'm asking is, has anyone had the same problem, or does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? |

Yea, many people have same problems as you with the 1st metroid game. The 2nd metroid game is working but its very slow. Btw im pretty sure you will get all your answers if you just browse the forum. Last edited by darkhider; September 13th, 2008 at 04:57.. |

Its graphics works in some older revs (like R49), but it just runs into a Fifo underrun error (which is fixed in latest revisions) during the intro scene. So MP1 is not playable anyways, and never has been, in the old non-SVN versions, it would generate some memory errors that looked like TLB's fault and then Dolphin crashes after seeing the intro scene.

Well, I just tried Wind Waker - No sound (why would MP give sound but not WW?) and very slow. The framerate is okay, but the game doesn't run fast enough. It's sluggish. It's slightly faster using the OGL plugin, but I get weird glitches using it. Pieces of windows behind Dolphin appear through the image. I get this in all my OGL applications.
