Dolphin DOES run Wii games, it just does not have any controller support so you cannot play them yet. Why would you guys tell the guy to not bother and come back in a year? Back then, Shockwave said this but I didn't understand it well. You can't play Wii games just because you don't have Wii Remote support? There are many games which don't even need the Wii Remote. Super Smash Bros Brawl, for example. It can be run using the Gamecube controller. So it is probably compatible with dolphin. I don't know, I only got brawl some days ago and I'm still in the process of ripping it from its disk to an iso on my PC. I know Wii emulation is still very experimental, so please don't come ringing my ears about "Don't you realize this is experimental and it won't work and blah blah blah". I will just try and take my conclusions about it MYSELF.

By the way, why is masterkey.bin needed to run Wii games?

Smash brothers doesn't start because of the double layer dvd, so was said to me and it sounds logical. Fire emblem only has black screen here...

You need a masterkey to read the ISOs, because Nintendo encrypted the Wii ISOs, where you need your own key to decrypt the data. (If I am Correct)

What about Mario Kart Wii? I'm very sure that its a single layer disc.

I don't understand why the fact of it being a double-layer DVD affects dolphin and SSBB. And I still don't know what masterkey is.

masterkey.bin iirc is data unique to your wii.
thats why everyone should rip his own and not ask about where to get it.
its needed to read the wii discs

and i think dual layered dvd's affects Dolphin cause its coded diffrently? (dont know for sure, i dont know alot of dual layered disc's)

Dolphin dosn't have dual layer options to run a game with that

and masterkey is the motherboard of wii ... or if you prefer is the bios of wii

Masterkey is NOT unique to your wii, it's the same for everyone ... so strictly speaking you can get it from someone else, although we don't recommend that for the usual legal reasons

I think Smash Bros complains about the disc due to some bug in our Wii DVD drive emulation... really not sure why. Feel free to try to figure it out...

Correction: After w while you can see the start screen. Then another screen, files or something like this, appears and nothing happens ^^
