Interesting Wii-mote page
Check it out. It looks like the guy made a driver for the Wii-mote. It has a download and could be something you guys can use to get all the info you need to get the Wii controller working. This is not something that can be added to the Dolphin emulator files, but the devs might be able to download the 1.01 file and "explore it" and then make a plugin for it. Good luck. - WiiYourself! - gl.tter's native C++ Wiimote library. http://www.wiili.org/index.php/Wiimote http://www.parismav.com/tech/wiicam/ http://blogs.msdn.com/coding4fun/arc...4/1879033.aspx Last edited by -Shockwave-; August 23rd, 2008 at 10:25.. |

I think Wii emulation will progress very quickly. Perhaps within a year or so we'll have the beginnings of a working emulator. I suppose that's the consequences of making a console that basically just builds upon your previous console.

Wait a minute here...I donīt think the devs made the emulator with the intention to fully emulate the Wii as well. They just wanted to see if they could pull it off, which they did.

Using a Wiimote on PC is easy: the problem is knowing how the Wii and the Wiimote communicate, which has already been said a zillion times. Emufan23: your signature is over limits, check the limits and fix it please, it's annoying having to wait a zillion years for the page to load.

Second, it's not your problem what I'm connecting with, there's a set of rules that say which sizes can be signature images: Quote:

See that there. the Wii-mote is "communicating" with maya and it is being run off of a PC. Figure out how it is "Communicating" with it and you've figured it all out, my friend. It's all there for you to read and break down the software they coded. It can't get any easier than that. Not to mention the other links are very helpful. |

Even I as a totally Noob can tell, that (as shashClp said) there's a "little" difference between the comunications Wiimote+PC (with ANY Application) and Wiimote+Wii. And as long the emulation for the Wii itself is not far enough, why would one concern about the Wiimote anyway? It's like building a house by starting with the roof... or something :P But to some people, emulation allways seems that easy to achieve... Well, if it "were!" that easy, why would it take years to write some reasonable Emu even for such "small" thing like GBA?

If you're not willing to go through the links and do some actual reading, than don't. We will wait till one of the real Dolphin devs shows up here who can understand what these web pages are talking about. Read everything that was linked to, I cannot hand-feed you the info. The ideas talked about in these threads have never been talked about before, if you cannot find a way to make them useful then you're not trying hard enough. You need to know how the Wii-mote talks to PC's, Look to the Wii-mote for answers. They have already written programs that talk to Wii-motes and there is no reason why it can't be used to talk to the emulator. |

You can't hand feed me anything, as you obviously don't know even where to look for proper information: first you should look on the devkitppc from the devkitpro project, which has a working wiimote driver for their free sdk. Of course you didn't know that because you're not a coder, so stop trying to fool anyone on thinking that you can show me something that I don't know. The exact problem is how the wii hardware works with the wiimote, not how the wiimote works, and the information you put there is just about the wiimote. It's clear enough now, or you want to keep this discussion about something you ignore?

Well do you really bevlieve the Devs haven't allready looked up these sites on there own? It'S still not the problem about the communication between PC+Mote... as the emu "emulates" the WII there must be the communication between WII+Mote even if the emu "runs" (just runs) un a PC. Emagine PC (all kind of them) like the human race and the consoles like animals. There is no easy way to understand how these animals communicate with each other, just by knowing that a dog barks! got it? I'll leave the further explanation to you guys. This is like talking to some wall! CU
