help, I cant save my pikman2, It freezes when i do.

when i save it freezes, and then when u reload the rom, it looks like it actually saved, but when u tryt and load the save it freezes too. can anyone help?

i have WinXpSP2
AMD Athlon 64 X2 dualCore 4600+ 2.41Ghz & 1.87GB of RAM & NVIDIA
