Lightbulb Dolphin (SVN) Linux discussion thread

I think the developers are doing a big effort to make it run in linux so why not a thread about the user's experience with the emu running under linux??
As far as i tried it was really slow but i couldn't try the last versions because i get a error in compilation:

Source/Core/Common/Src/CPUDetect.cpp:177:2: warning: no newline at end of file
/tmp/ccAScaMf.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/ccAScaMf.s:24: Error: suffix or operands invalid for `push'
/tmp/ccAScaMf.s:24: Error: suffix or operands invalid for `pop'
scons: *** [Source/Core/Common/Src/CPUDetect.o] Error 1
scons: building terminated because of errors.

Is there someone else with the same problem?? i am using ubuntu 8.04 64 bit.

I think this could be just posted in the SVN topic.

And about the Linux compatibility, Sonic Advance often checks the latest source code. So if something gets broken, a fix is made very soon after it.

I'm also using x64 8.04, but I dual boot into XP x64. The windows native builds seem much faster. There is random freezing under Ubuntu, I haven't figured out why, but if you grab the window and wiggle it, it continues for a second, but you have to keep doing that in some games. :\

I think that in the SVN thread there is a lot of information that is not of interest for linux users...
I've tried again and now i could compile it! it is pretty fast now with dynarec enabled, dual core option does not work.. is it normal??? and i can't get any game working like in windows... soon or later all games stop working with a message like this one:

"Symbol DllDebugger missing in Plugins/libdsphle.so (error: Plugins/libdsphle.so: undefined symbol: DllDebugger)
(0) : fatal error C9999: *** exception during compilation ***
Cg compiler terminated due to fatal errordiegoocampo@diegopc:~/dolphin-emu-read-"

Great improvements anyway!!
