Or could a group of enthusiasts get it to work over the next months?
If they learn Visual C++ and how the gamecube works (this usually takes a nice chunk of time).

Do you think we could see sound support soon?
No one knows. You can always just hope.

Authors share info and Gekko has had the dolphin source for a while. So this release doesnt bring that much...

dont worry about Gekko, its not there to copy anything. But keep in mindthat when releasing your source is to show what youve done. Heck the current Dolphin release uses the dsp code from GCEmu

Some people get sound, others don't. For instance, I get only 1 second of music, but sound effects are working fine (SSBM).

Alright, I understand. I am just concern and I love what the team have done with this Dolphin. I can't wait for Official released soon. Thanks for answering my question.

1: It has keyboard/Xbox360 controller support.
2: yes use dual core mode.
3: Framelimiter is used incase the games are to fast, so only use it if needed.

Hope I answered your questions

You put my reading skills\z to the test. Its cool though, your a nice person.

Chrono do you know of any reason why the core thingy isn't recognizing our changes to dual core in the 32 bit version? I'll be damned if I have to activate my 64-bit windows(just expired and stupid conexant or w/e didnt make modem drivers for 64-bit) through un-legit means. Then again I'm to lazy anyway .

When I enable Plugin_DSP_LEE plugin and load a game, error messages appear.
The first one says: Cannot load DSP Rom and then hundreds of error popup messages.

I have an x-fi fatality platinum sound card.

lol mice....
You can control the basic features of the gamecube pad on your keyboard(not sure about analog). Gamepads are not supported for this version unless you have a 360 controller(from what I gather). You should enable the dual core for your computer but at the moment it doesn't seem to work with the 32-bit svn.
You should put the frame limiter on unless it is making the game to slow.

Click on Plugins and then choose plugins.. Choose your plugins through the drop-down list. That should fix your errors.

No that doesn't work, I tried that, there are two plugins selectable:
Plugin_DSP_NULL
Plugin_DSP_LEE (dsound)

NULL = no sound at all
lee = error messages.

are there any other sound plugins?
I know this is still a work in progress, but windwaker and twilight princess run very smooth for me.
