Hello, I have a problem with the version compiled (32 bit)

The application does not start and have an error message.

I would like to clarify that my computer is a little old, and he owns just 1 GB RAM...

Any info yet on the terrible performance of the 64-bit version? The 64-bit version isn't even faster than the 32-bit version and performance is quite worse over the Dolphin 64 Beta 3.

I would like to know if there is any info on this or an explanation as to why this is, and if there is a solution to solve this.

Are you comparing the DX9 plugin from beta 3 to the OpenGL one from SVNr5 ?
It's possible the video is slower due to emulating more with OpenGL. (Also, I keep hearing ATi cards are getting bad framerates in OpenGL compared to DX... dunno if thats the case for you)

Anyone else has the same problem as mine?
Im pretty sure if the emu would use both my processors core, the fps would be better.
It only stays @ 50%.

Yep same here (using the 32 bit version). The options in the ini file set to true and yet no dual core. Hmmm.

Yes I am comparing the DirectX plugins, I already know the OpenGL plugin is going to be slower.

I have lost at least 15 - 20 FPS or more over Beta 3 with this new x64 build and it seems no faster than the x86 compile.

Others are having severe performance problems with the new x64 compile over the Beta 3, up to a 50% hit on framerate/performance over Beta 3 according to Nexxus.

I have a Nvidia card, so it is quite unrelated to issues with ATI cards.

Well rev6 is in SVN. Memory fix for 32bit. Won't fix most of your issues though. (Should help with those getting "Failed to grab 1GB of continuous memory")
And daco, I can only compile x86 binaries right now... my VS is not setup properly for x64 compiling.

i'm hoping that the release of the source code for Dolphin will help accellerate the production of Gekko.

We will wait for you to have x64 compiling soon. Thanks!

This will be difficult... If Gekko expected come to light, when his state had exceeded the state of dolphin... I do not know what will happen with Gekko, but dolphin is open source and begin support WII, who else can ask for more?.

Why hope for Gekko ? The Dolphin team is doing a great job and it is not fair if Gekko can get source of Dolphin and get into Gekko which Dolphin team work so hard for ? That is not fair. I like Gekko but I prefer Gekko team to do their own work as well to see how good they are but I prefer Dolphin because the team is doing awesome and the work so hard for it because it is their hobby and we should support then. It is not cool for you saying that you hope for the release of the source code for Dolphin to the production of Gekko. I hope they are wiser not to do that.

Ok, I prefer always Dolphin, and much more now. And I wish the best of the Gekko's teams.

Sound

I would like to hear more about the sound emulation. Is it exceptionally hard to get to work? Or could a group of enthusiasts get it to work over the next months? Do you think we could see sound support soon? I think sound is working decently in SSB Melee. Doesn't that mean it could fairly easily be adjusted to work with other games to?

Regards
John
