Hey, Is anyone interested by a Njoy plugin with Keyboard support ? Because i created one for the sake of SSBM multiplayer, with my awesome C coding skills* ![]() It's using DInput, just like PadSimple, because using SDL with Wx was quite hard, and WxGetKeyState didn't like me... So here it is : P.S: I may post more about it tomorrow. ALSO, big thanks to the one that can fix this annoying keyboard focus problem preventing enter,tab,up,down... etc to be used *awesome C coding skills = "I just started learning C two weeks ago, and didn't even know anything about C++ when starting this, but hey, it works ".(Patch file + Dll included) EDIT : Updated, arrows keys, tab, enter etc... are now working just fine. There is no way to solve this problem right?... ![]() Seems like I'll have no other choice but to take this on my own hands after all....

Sweet thanks Xtreme2damax and daxtsu for the updates. I have one small question, does anyone know when exactly Brawl emulation will be possible or should we just wait it out and hope for the best? ![]() -DongerZ-

Regarding the keyboard patch for njoy. When I try to assign the arrow keys to the main stick of GC controller, it doesn't assign it. It takes me to the next tab, which is controller 2. And when I try to assign my Enter key, it doesn't assign it to the start button of the GC controller. I think that the njoy plugin itself has to be modified to fix these assigning keys problems.

So will Brawl's emulation ever be possible? Just got r1157, like the new folder layout, less complicating ^^. Cheers -DongerZ-

Is it just me, or graphics is x64 releases are messed up for Wii games, or at least for Wii sports? I could post a screenshot, but I could simply explain instead. x86 release, nearly perfect graphics - x64 releases, menu's are buggy, and ingame, if you can see anything from huge color glitches stretching across the whole screen, then you will see bottoms up trees and land, and many funny (but not funny) stuff. Also, I was amazed few revs ago, when I saw that Wiimote pointer is emulated by the mouse. Great work! Is there a plan to simulate Wiimote on the mouse, somewhere in the future, and would it be even possible? I'm guessing it would. It would be much more comfortable, playing your Wii games on your PC, using mouse, instead of jumping all around with your Wiimote, in front of it. Oh, I love emulation so much. ^^

And it's easier to aim, too. So as far as I read in here the emu made a lot of progress! Even thought I will never be able to check that out for myself: Congrats on that. CU

^ precisely. Even though Wiimote not just detects where it is pointed, but is able to sensor movements, speed etc. I believe it would be possible to emulate it all on a mouse, because, for an instance, you will never point with wiimote and swing it like a golf club at the same time. Devs could make an automatic change of Wiimote function or something. For example, when you're in menu's or aiming in Metroid, you just direct arrow or aim, with mouse, but when you play Wii sports Tenis, pointing switch place with movements detector, where you rotate Wiimote through X axis moving mouse left and right, and Y axis, moving it up down. Of course, it would detect speed also. I know it would be a lot tricky, because for example when you have to point the top of Wiimote down (not in the screen), for ... I dunno, golf, you would have to pull the mouse down, then press a button that would stop making mouse rotate around an axis, but just move in space, then right and finally left. It is not easy to imagine it, but I believe there are two solutions. Either devs make automatic recognition of Wiimote movements needed (which would be nearly impossible sometimes, like in example I just explained), or enable you to manually override it somehow, by pressing mouse buttons (middle, for example) to change type of movements you want to make. It is kind of a lame substitution, like half-press button for non analog gamepads, but it would still work, I believe. Hm, I used lots of "for example" expression in this post. lol

![]() So basically, Keyboard is now supported in Njoy, allowing you to play multiplayer with any pad + your keyboard, there's still some things that may be changed, and of course linux can't use DInput... anyone is welcome to tweak ![]() Grab it there : (Plugin dll / Patch file for devs) Last edited by sl1nk3; November 13th, 2008 at 19:05. |
