i quite liked the original Spyro actually, it plays nicely on epsxe.

i've no reason not to play the new trilogy at some point.

I tried to ask this in my other thread to clear things up a bit. Never got a response from any developer so we cannot know for sure why yet.

If you think about it, it has to be pretty obvious since the actual game is the same no matter what country it's from. It has to be a few small code changes at the start of the game that throws things off sometimes.

'Super Mario Galaxy' (Wii) now boots in Rev 1027, but can't get past the connection screen.
See my post here for screenshots: Dolphin (SVN) Shots

rotflmao.

Alot of the hex is different between one game and another, its not just a few small code changes, like you would think.

modern games are recoded so the transition from 60 to 50fps does not cause a performance issues, like the classic controller lag on the N64., luckily PAL-60 is becoming more prevalent, this includes everything from playable to FMV sequences.

A simple thing like when the game asks you if you want to run the game in 50hz or 60hz at the start of the game can screw the game for an emlulator, whereas the NTSC version does not have to go through that process and might not get hung up there.

However, it still doesn't explain why certain crashes exist differently in PAL or NTSC. If I would to make a bug report, it might not apply to people using the NTSC thus creating confusion on how to fix said bug (if at all).

What do you mean what's the deal? Are you asking for its status? It works in some games, but not all. It doesn't work well right now because the hardware for the Gamecube/Wii isn't totally documented, so it's kinda hard to emulate it.

Oh. Does anyone know if it's part of any future revisions or is focusing on generally improving graphics to the point of perfect playability on a capable machine the goal right now?

If I had to guess, they're probably focusing on CPU/GPU more than sound, since those are more important. But I can't speak for the dev team.

imo the cpu emulation is most important
then gpu and lastly audio

without a good cpu emulation a emulator is crap
without a good gpu emulation audio is crap (lol can't see anything but can hear everything)

catch my drift?

but ye, thats only what i think lol

Really? Very odd, it works for everybody else. You might have to do a clean Windows install.
