Is it just me or is it that every time I compile dolphin myself it runs SSBm really slow (like -7 FPS) and when I download it from Xtreme2damax it runs fast and smooth? Am I missing some library's or something?
I am using Visual Studio 2008 professional, and have installed the DirectX SDK. it's also included in my paths.

Are you compiling the Debug version by accident?

how can I see if it's the debug version?
EDIT: Guess it's the dropdown between the debug "play" button and the platform selection dorpdown. compiling "release" now, see if it helps.

That is normal for Dolphin at the moment, I just use the "X" button.

I just wanted to say great work to all the developers involved in this project. I've been playing WW tonight and it's smooth as butter even on my less than spectacular machine. Compared with PCSX2 which won't go beyond 12fps on my computer it's a miracle. It's getting better every week.

just use Alt+F4 or use "File > Exit" or just the X in the window to close, it happens a lot :x

Basically, what I do, so I stopped trusting the X button, also stopping the game and loading another, I hear these screech sounds during boot (which don't happen after a dolphin restart).

Killing Dolphin by using the "X" to stop the program has not worked in Windows in almost 300 revisions on the window where the game actually renders.

I didn't like render to main window because the stop button works better when the render is in a separate window, render to main window seems buggier.

Using "render to main window" breaks the dx9 pad plugin.
