I compile the revisions as I get them from google-code. I don't know too much about programming in C++, only saw something on University.

And like Hard core Rikki said, this thread is to discuss about the changes of the revisions. I think it would be a great idea of someone that can keep updated a new thread, list all the compilers and for people that want to start compile too, post where the compilers host the builds and stick it. It would let this thread more clean.

Well I uploaded R450.

I do not alter any Revisions, except adding the program icon in (which I did a couple revisions ago), which should not affect how Dolphin works at all. Actually there is a thread on who builds them: How many people are compiling?

that's kind of where I was going with my compilers thread.

But tell me, do you know if there are any advantages with VS2008?

Well I don't know. I saw someone saying that the build with VS2008 has some benefit 1 or 2 fps more and less compiling error. I don't think so.
451 up.

Excuse me, sorry to nitpick a bit more, but I do believe that was unnecessary, rude and uncalled for.

I do realize you are a moderator and my opinion means zilch, but I do have a genuine concern.

I know it isn't a competition and my concern wasn't related to competing in any form, just that things could become messy if it isn't at least regulated somewhat.

I'm not out to win a popularity contest, only to provide clean, unaltered and decent builds for others to enjoy. If should something be altered, I would inform others of the changes.

Is there anything wrong with being concerned? I know I most certainly would not like to be the one stuck cleaning up the mess should something go wrong.

If you wanted me to stop discussing this, other choices of words could of been used which are more polite/appropriate such as "This thread has gone off-topic, I'd advise it to get back on the threads original topic". Stfu wasn't exactly the choice of words that were appropriate considering that I've never been in trouble, am far from being just another n00b, am respected/liked by other members.

I meant no trouble by what I posted and apologize if anyone was offended about it, there's nothing wrong with being concerned.

Yes, I have heard that too, plus there might be more errors in Dolphin. I do not confirm that though, I should get VS2008 and provide them with the 2005 builds.

Actually, your opinion means a lot. Everyone's does. It's your opinion that prompted me to say what I said. The way I interpreted it was that you are making this some sort of competition rather than real concern, and continued to even after other members expressed what I felt, in an admittedly better fashion.

(Oh, and notice the "kindly" and bad grammar? I meant to express the point in more or less a joking manner...)

I agree. Perhaps those who compile could work together to produce something like a definitive compilation.

That's not what he meant, he thinks the compilers actually coded the emulator.

Just cause we can compile Dolphin doesn't mean we know all about how Dolphin works, I have tried fixing the Direct3D 9 plugin, by trying to get steciling to work, but the code is complicated, and didn't know how to get the shadow data. It is not really that hard to compile Dolphin...just load the sln in VS2005 or 2008 and compile. Also I cannot change x64 settings in VS2008 Express Edition

Well ok, sorry if it seemed like I jumped a bit, it's just the way I interpreted what you said.

Well back on topic folks, I apologize for the minor disruption that I caused and will not bring it back up again. I'll leave the decisions up the the staff and the coders of Dolphin.

By the way, has there been any changes, fixes or improvements with the latest revision, has anyone noticed anything at all?

I will be compiling and uploading a new build in a bit here when I get a chance to.

well i tested the 476 revision, and tales of symphonia gets past the first battle for me, dual core, openGL plugin, there seems to be some kind of problem with all the pad plugins, nJoy the confirm button doesn't work, and with the KB plugin it's all good, but after some time loses all sort of controls in the game

Revision 484 is up in my signature. I will award a cookie to someone if they can find anything new or fixed.
