Thanks....it isn't working for me. Gives me a series of panic messages and doesn't save anything. What can I do?

R389 has savestates that work in at least some games, and also introduces per-game savestates, and the new SaveState subfolder.

Oh, and might as well warn you now: SAVES YOU MAKE NOW WILL NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH FUTURE REVISIONS.

Any ideas for a design for selecting savestate slots? Keyboard shortcuts? Menus?

Or let me rephrase: Which emulator has your favorite Savestate system?

Daco, I was looking at your download page, and may I suggest editing out your cursing on that page. It is not the best idea to be throwing around those words on an online download site just for the hell of it when other words would have worked just fine. It's (how can I say this nicely), childish to see someone cursing as you are there.

Thanks for providing downloads.

Right. I compressed it with Dolphinīs built in shrinker, which i think was with the teaser release, and a few later releases.

Btw, daco, i tried downloading your R388, but when i launch it, it says itīs R327, and the savestate function is gone.

Current standings:

VBA - 2 (F1-F10 to load, Shift+F1-F10 to save)
PJ64 - 2 (F5 to save, F7 to load, number keys to select slot)
EPSXE - 1 (nearly the same as PJ64)

i like the epsxe save state system.
the little preview screen of the state you selected makes it really simple to know what to load or which is safe to overwrite.
i would do
f1 = save
f5 = load (if you put it next to the save, in the hurry you may press the wrong key)
keys 1 to 9 = change slot (faster than epsxe)

if ppl like that, iīll be running for president (????)

Hm yeah, having a separate slot selection step makes it possible to show a thumbnail on save. Although that feature is not in the near future

it would be ideal that the key shortcuts could be customizable

I like VBA savestatefunction for the most part. Shift+F1 is a good combination, and just F1 to load. That means it's possible to do more savestates at the same time if you add function for it.

Like Shift+F2 to do the other savestate and F2 to load, if you not have bind that button with an other function in Dolphin.

well, at least if the thumbnail function gets implemented sometime, iīll take in account the current elections for that time and have a run (california, prepare to meet your new governor! bye arnold! sign me an autograph)

on topic again, the shift key + something is not for the weak or lazy, you need to move your hands more to reach them HAHA

Yeah well using all of F1-F10 for the VBA option is pretty obvious. I guess VBA-style wins.

No, I'm not gonna make it customizable. Too much work Maybe someone else will.

Thanks ector... VBA as you said is a obvious winner, or like the obvious one, cause of the functions, - I really appreciate them.
