It would be nice to see new members, in exchange for hosting something. I am after all compiling and hosting these using my bandwidth I pay for, letting random people leech all the time for the sake of leeching when they have no incentive to even be a part of the community is not really healthy and is not going to help me or my community thrive and could potentially harm the website by excessive resource usage if some kind of regulation is not in place.

I am looking into implementing a new system to give guests the ability to download, while being able to have some kind of regulation in place to keep resource usage down a bit.

It's not like I'm pulling a rapidshare, where you have to wait a minute to download a file and then can only download one file and have to wait a half an hour to download another. I think it is quite reasonable to offer unlimited downloading in exchange for registration.

Guests will once again be able to download in a few days. I can always guarantee my downloads will always be safe from nasties, with other builds there is no guarantee that someone will not slip a backdoor in or some kind of malware. I personally get a bad vibe especially with newly registered members compiling and uploading builds. I'm not saying that you shouldn't trust them, but I would be extra cautious when downloading others builds, especially from someone who doesn't have a reputation yet in the community or even a bad reputation.

But that is enough talk on the subject and this thread doesn't need to derail any further than it has.

I managed to get ingame on Resident Evil Zero on the latest revisions. You need to use the 32-bit build, however it still has a problem with corrupt graphics when ingame.

Also the movies on Resident Evil 4 are full speed, however you need to have OptimizeQuantizers set to True.

No graphical improvements as of yet, I've been checking Resident Evil Remake/Zero/4 with every new revision to see if there was any improvement, but none to be had as of yet.

Unquestionable, undeniable and excellent point Xtreme2damax, that' s only fair for you anyway, since all we're doing is leeching for free while you pay.

To be fair, no one is making you host anything, and if you're only interested in getting users to join your forum on the merits of uploading and compiling a product that is not yours, I find that not to be cool at all. As for some of your other comments, we are already part of a community here, as are you. If anyone is leeching anything, it is all of us taking the Dolphin emulator and giving nothing back, your forum is not a part of this at all.

I am glad that you are compiling builds for THIS community, but if you're going to complain and call people "leechers", you can just not compile builds anymore or keep them for your members, as it seems, that's what you're already doing.

Bottom line, if you do not have enough money to keep up your site and the hundreds of people who would potentially download a build you compiled, do not do it anymore.

The only thing I could possibly do, is ask for donations for my time at compiling those build since windows skydrive is free

Btw if anyone is interested to donate... tell me but hey! donate to the DEVs of Dolphin first!

As I mentioned this is only to keep consumption down a bit, if you feel safe downloading builds others have compiled I have no problem with it.

But there needs to be a line drawn somewhere, or else the host can say enough and give me the boot for excessive usage. It would be different if I could afford dedicated hosting, however since I am only able to afford shared hosting, there has to be some regulation somewhere's.

I didn't know temporarily requiring registrations would be such a big deal. I could understand if it was a permanent decision, but it's not.

And money is no problem, second I wasn't just hosting revisions to draw in new registrations, I was doing it because I wanted to do something kind for the community I am a part of.

My response even if it seemed ill, wasn't. Yes I'll admit I didn't really approve of your response, only because it makes me think me or my website isn't good for anything other than downloads or makes it seem as if I am doing something wrong. I'd like to think I am doing a good job, and not making any mistakes.

But if it makes you all happy I'll give guests the ability to download again.

Registering being so easy as you said, I do not see that fixing the problem. Everyone here could register, never post on your forum, and then draw the same exact amount of bandwidth as if we were all guests. I would rather not join for the purpose of doing exactly as I said, joining, and downloading only. I would rather get it elsewhere than register and never post.

You're doing fine, you just came across badly for a second there, I will not hold it against you.

Hi there,
There is like 6 months that i didn't hear some news about Dolphin.
Now I see tat for some people some games are playable, even if the sound is not working.
But I have tested zelda WW and I have about 13-14 fps in the island and about 25 fps in the houses, so i can't play at full speed.
Must I change my processor or I wait a better version of Dolphin ?

I have set everything back and gave guests the ability to download once again. I'm sorry for creating a massive controversy, and hope you'll forgive me.

I didn't realize setting it the way I did would be a huge issue. One of my co-administrators implemented a system which should help ease up a bit on resource usage.

There will be no further problems or interruptions such a being required to register in order to download. Thanks for voicing your concern.

It seems ActionReplay support is not perfect (but it's already cool to have one at least). if you want to be able to use cheats even if ActionReplay doesn't work, do this :

For example, we have the code for Wind Waker :
Code:
Never Drown
JCQ9-135G-DDN3Z
CM68-JYCP-B5HME
1-The first thing is to decrypt it using GCncrypt tool. In our example it will give this :
Code:
Never Drown
02041EB6 18000000
023D2096 00000300
2-Then we discard unused code part, since we will "hook" memory directly :
Code:
Never Drown
023D2096 00000300
3-Now come the code transformation to be usable in the patch file :
Code:
# Never Drown
0x823D2096=byte:0x300
4-Final part is to add this code under the [OnFrame] section of the patch file.

And voila, it's done

Note : JokerCommand codes will not work with this method (ex : press A for MoonJump) or I maybe missed something to make them work
