If you want a fast emu now, use NO$GBA. It's quite fast, but 3D has never been one of its strengths.

And the one thing DeSmuME has that iDeaS and No$GBA doesn't is the Tools (for viewing maps and tiles and all that)

Yes. In Mod3 I've fixed their comboboxes. I've even added a func in OAM viewer that frames the selected sprite.

Only it crashes on my Laptop :'( Only ur Mod 2&3 crash on my Laptop, it wouldn't have anything to do with the SDL and Vista would it?

Shadow dude, the no$gba emu is much better and the mods that nherve is working on is still pretty much being worked on so he is a little busy...
Almost any game on the No$gba will work... in the irc channel mentioned in my sig, 90% work totally i think

Yes, use NO$GBA if you want to play, or else, be patient.
The biggest bug in NO$GBA is crackling sound, this happens only in Mario games, I start to think the author hates Mario... He says crackling is due to synchronization.

EDIT : in Mario64, there's a strange and annoying bug : the character sometimes gets "teleported" to another location in the world, or UNDER the floor (in water), or worse, in "nothing", and so you're losing a live due to the emu being buggy. This also happens (a bit more often) with iDeaS.

Desmume Mod 3 is great, but it has some 3D core issues... I know that It needs some time to be fixed, and that's normal we'll have to wait. That's all.

Yoshi's island runs a lot better on desmume than in any other emu out there

PS: I wanna play Mario Kart DS on Desmume mod!!!!!

I found the main problem in RaymanDS: this game is abusing of non-aligned read/writes, and they are badly supported, so they mess up the MMU.

RaymanDS will be soon playable, after a bit of more debugging.
After making sure the load/store address was aligned in all cases, I got better results : after the 3rd intro, I get a black screen, and when I press Start, I get the "loading" screen, and the emu freezes here. It's better, but it still doesn't work.

You should be called EMU AUTHOR from now on, not Plugin author anymore.

More infos on RaymanDS :
After the fixes I applied to non-aligned memory operations, the game is better, but it still doesn't boot. It loads to R0 the value at [0x02046018], and then to R0 the value at [R0], that is [0x020C1EC0]. Then, the game expects R0 to be not 0, else it jumps to that damn MCR wat irq loop. and that what's doing, because, I don't know why, [0x020C1EC0]=0. Hacking it to another value doesn't make the game work, the value of R0 seems to be used forther to jump somewhere.

Yes. The game fails because [0x02046018] doesn't have the good value, or because [0x020C1EC0] doesn't too.

I compared to both iDeaS and NeonDS, the values are same. The bug is elsewhere.

I found another bug. When I press Start, some data from 0x0206970c to 0x02069760 are overwritten, and then the emu executes opcodes in these wrong data. This doesn't happen on other emus.

I think you should get more than just a 'Plugin author'.

Could you post some screenshots of the games that are you fixing in order to see the progress?

I'm asking this because like everybody else, I love Desmume Mod
