Which size is the ROM? Does the memory usage keep increasing over time? How much memory does desmume use when no roms are loaded?

Well 122MB used in desmume isnt much. It really depends on the rom size, as shash said above.
And notice not all games run on desmume, take a look at my sig to find out which ones do. EDIT: just took a look there: "Set save type to 64k. Blank screen after new game, music keeps playing" Tested on latest version.

Well iDeaS is a whole diferent program, with diferent programming.
And i dont think 122MB is that much for a DS emulator to use. And about desmume, its not optimized for speed.

You're all free to commit patches to the CVS with fixes for speed or memory usage, instead of criticizing.

For the high CPU usage, DS emulators basically lack the ability for the CPU to sleep when idle to save clock cycles. However, this function only kicks in when you are achieving fullspeed, otherwise the emulator will take as much CPU as possible. Not until DS emulators are full speed in the majority of games will this be an actual issue.

About battery issues, and blank screens, check the games you have if they run or not on compat list from my sig. Hope that helps...

I don't know what this does even mean, but don't if it something like "report to me, and I'll fix it" it's something that WON'T happen :P

He never noticed you were actually reading this topic shash...
Anyways 122MB really aint much for an emu....your PC just can't handle it, it's not an actual problem.
