Sorta yeah, but this list was all of those (and more) combined and it came from Tom's Hardware (a hardware website)

Im still with my problem though, My computer is working at a lower clock rate now(Both the Memory and the Cpu). This isn´t an emulator fault, Im going to try in a specific forum about hardwares. There i mighty get my solution. Quote:
related instead of software. Quote:
All softwares are still working good in this one (even with the clock reduced). |

Well, you could check some stuff.
What motherboard do you have? Check if the chipset supports ddr 400 memory. Check your RAM to see if its really drr 400. Take your cooler/heatsink off, and look at the code written on the processor, to be sure which one you got.

But anyway, here will go my new specifications : Windows XP Professional SP2 Abit KV7 AMD Athlon XP +2400 - 1.5GB DDR-400 - NVIDIA GeForce 6200 DirectX 9.0c I would also put up the Bios version, but since no one had similar problem, i don´t think it would be much of a help. Well i just said that, in case you wasnt really sure the HW you got there.
And if it cant run on default speeds, making you downclock both processor and ram speeds, something is really wrong there. Could be high temps.

I understand.
I had checked the temps at the time too. but they were fine. I don´t remenber exactly how it was, though. Like i said i also tried to substitute every piece of hardware for another (Just for testing purpose) Even the Hard Drive, except the Micro processor. |

If your cpu normal clock is 1.8ghz, then 2.0ghz is overclock. Overclocking is bad as i already said, with the time your cpu will become more and more unstable and you pc will start to get random reboots, and the BSOD will appear frequently when using some apps that needs some cpu power, that means that your cpu is dying.
Format your pc, if you still get those BSOD then is problably your CPU. try use CPU Stability Test. |

Athlon XP 2400+ normal clock is 2Ghz.
I had to reduce it to 1.8Ghz, then memory clock was reduced as well. The system didn´t give any BSOD error after that. I also ran WinDbg to see if i could track the error, but i didn´t got much luck, though. Im going to try that CPU stability test. then i will come up with the results. Then someone must have stole My Athlon XP+2400 and put another in itīs place. For all other things that i didnīt check... Thatīs the last i would think of. Or maybe it came overclocked when i already bought it? ![]() Anyway, im better checking that too. thanks for the advice, it will help me alot in the future.

I didn´t overclocked my computer.
It is suposed to be Athlon XP 2400+, All of the programs i used to verify the CPU are saying it´s Athlon XP 2200+, probably because of the "downclock". (Everest Ultimate Edition, Dxdiag, Cpu-Z) Unless someone stole my cpu when i get my computer to the Tech Staff : A thing that i don´t remenber doing this year. Athlon XP 2400+.JPG
Athlon XP 1800+.JPG I think this explains to you, what you can´t understand from me. Does someone here knows a program that can detect the CPU model (Independent of Overclock or reduced clock)? Last edited by Dbz32; July 26th, 2007 at 02:06. |

This discussion should seriously be moved to hardware discussion or something alike, as it has nothing to do with desmume :P
