i think i have figured out why some games dont work.
Lol as the title says.
This is aimed more at users with windows xp service pack 2, i dunno about service pack 1 or windows 98, 2000 etc so you would have to give it a try. But when i open a rom in the DesMume emulator, it dont work.. So i had a look around the net for help, and i found this eNDryptS.exe, well i used it and patched all of my NDS games.. tested it, still dont work. So i thought i'd have a look at the properties of the .nds files, and guess what.. the file is blocked! So i unblock it, tested the games (more than 5 games) and they work! lool. Here are screenshots in order I follow the steps in. 1. Make sure you have your game 2.Put the .nds file in roms folder ![]() 3.Opened DesMume emulator, and opened the game ![]() 4.Game dont work, closes the emulator ![]() 5.Find EnDscrypt at this website - http://www.gbadat.altervista.org/tools.htm[ IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y122/Woodpeckersam/5.jpg[/IMG] 6.Extract the EnDScrypt.exe to the rom folder, open it and wait for the roms to patch. ![]() 7.Tested game out again, dont work ![]() 8.Go to the properties of the game (right click on the game file, select properties) ![]() 9.Select unblock ![]() 10.Game works ![]() one thing i have noticed, after you unblock the games, sometimes you have to repatch the game with EnDScrypt.exe for them to work. wont take long at all. Hope this helps to some. Enjoy! Last edited by Woodpeckersam; May 13th, 2007 at 22:18. |

I would remove the first Screenshot ASAP if I were you.
Also I assume this applies to a Firewall, I have Windows XP Service Pack 2 (only basic pack not fully updated...updates tend to give me headaches with game compatibility) and I don't even have that option. Last edited by SCHUMI-4-EVA; March 19th, 2007 at 11:52. |
