"Import Backup Memory"? Hm...when I do that and restart the game, in the beginning it says "Unable to access save data..." I have to select a .sav file there, right? Cuz I also got a .ds1 file which is not selectable there...or do I have to save the game in the newer rev with a different save type selected? EDIT: Ah, .ds1 is a save state I figured... EDIT2: Ah, nevermind, I got it ^^ ...export, then import...kinda logical, if I think about it now..... -_- EDIT3: Goody, that worked...also no crash at the boss fight. Just one problem: In the newer rev there is this option in the sound settings, "Synchronous" under "Synchronization Mode". That one removed the crackling in the voice samples for me. I guess that feature hasn't been implemented in the official release, yet, huh? Or is there some way to activate it per ini or something?

No, they didn't introduce that option in the Official Release.

Nah, too bad... I already thought about ex-&-importing the save file and continuing on the newer rev, but I guess that crash would come at every boss fight, eh? -_-

i told you i couldnt make it crash. most people follow that up with an offer to help or send savefiles or savestates if theyre interested in helping fix it. i guess i have to not be so lazy and type more and assume less.

Ah, I just figured I still got the (battery) save game...you just have to import it. This is before the fight against against Midbus, where the crash occurs. You just have to go to the right and listen to that weirdo first... Hope this helps

OK thanks for that. We've dealt with this bug before so I know what it is. This game does something sloppy with its timing, sort of a race condition that happens always to work on the device's timing but not in desmume. We know how to fix it but we havent been studying the consequences of that fix. P.S. when you send a savefile to another desmume user, just send them the dsv file. No need to export it first. If you're savvy enough to be making your own builds and not downloading someone else's, then uncomment ACCOUNT_FOR_CODE_FETCH_CYCLES in mmu_timing.h for it to be fixed.

Well, it is/was fixed in the last official build, so did you take the fix out again or did something else break it? Nope, unfortunately I have no idea about compiling and stuff...does that mean a simple change would fix the whole problem?

Then never mind about the building. Anyway, lots of stuff changes in this codebase and sometimes stuff breaks and has to get fixed again.

Yes, like Dolphin. Some things makes better the build, some things make it worst.

yay, not bad! but where do you get the information? Is there something like a google code commit page that's always up-to-date? The only page I found is, this one (Commits - Ohloh) but it's not really up-to-date -_-

The project page is on Sourceforge, not Google Code. As for the commit log, I just found it: http://desmume.svn.sourceforge.net/v...runk/?view=log
