help converting save game files from no$gba to desmume

I am trying to go from desmume to no$ and it is really frustrating. You know I am really not a dumb person, but when I tried all the conversion methods listed in this thread it didn't work for me. Desmume is set to autodetect and no$ is set to read raw saves and it still won't go. Could it be the game save I am trying to convert? If I gave someone my save would that kind person be able to help me out? By the way, I am using the very latest version of desmume.
