Great job Blueshogun96. Very happy to see that you have some time to work with cxbx and making progress with it. And keep us updated with your new blog.

And also thanks to Patrickvl and Shadowtj as they have made some big progress with dxbx, as it seems to be starting to come close with cxbx.

I think that xbox emulation is very mutch alive. So thanks to the devs for all their hard work.

shogun's branch in CXBX's repository isn't updated with his latest development but you can still grab it from sourceforge at this address:
SourceForge.net: Cxbx : The Xbox Emulator - Develop

I suggest you use dstien's branch as I found it was the easiest to compile and has the Futurama fixes. You'll need the DirectX 8 SDK (use the search on our forum to find the download link) and the Platform SDK (? IIRC).

Other than that, let's try and keep this thread for compatibility reports

Speaking of which, I should upload my changes. I keep forgetting to reinstall TSVN and other stuff necessary to do so.

You and I both know that's not going to happen!

I've added it to my Google Reader subscriptions so I should be taking a look at it daily since I got all my programming stuff in there.

Negative, mine would show up as Chrono Archangel.........
I've now added myself as a follower. It would be nice that if you subscribe to something through Google Reader it would automatically add you as a follower....

Chrono Archangel thanks for the link. but i'm have this old builds. i'm test Futurama and it looks very good. it runs fullspeed, with sound bugs, a with black textured hero. also i'm have dumped Panzer Dragon Orta but it not run on old builds + Vista os. if you post a list of necessary soft and little tutorial how to compile cxbx it will be cool for noobs like me

I've managed to get around the problem with Vista (assuming it's the same for everyone). I discovered that if I play another game like Turok, for a moment, then try Panzer again, it works fine.

I'm don't have Turok, but i'm try this trick with Futurama (load Futurama then load Panzer Dragon) it not work.
Also i'm try to load DoA extreme beach volleyball. i'm get error "D3DFMT_LIN_D24S8 not yet supported" but in compat. list i'm saw: Status: (Intros). what i'm do wrong?
btw i'm use old build shogun_release_fast.

The problem is shader related. On my laptop under Vista, sometimes Panzer will crash during shader handling. What I did was either run Turok, or another PC game that uses shaders for a while (i.e. Halo) which works for me. This won't work with Futurama because Futurama doesn't even use shaders.

The shogun_release_fast doesn't have the fix for DOAV. I only added the changes necessary to play Smashing Drive to Nisse's latest build to see if it would play at 60fps because at the time, my source branch was too slow.

@blueshogun96: Sorry to contact you this way, but did you get my PM and emails? It seems we're having a little trouble getting through to each-other - did you check your spam-folders?

Others: Move on, nothing to see here ;-)

@patrick: I got your email, but since my internet is acting crazy (sometimes I can get on for a few moments, then it's down for hours), getting an email through to you may be difficult. I'll try again today.

@saintseiya, that's old, we already have that. btw, just curious, how many years of age are you?
