Adaptor allows original xbox games to be read on pc
I've not tried the device myself but here's the link: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=532691 and the developers page: http://www.xbox8164adapter.com/ The xbox-scene forums say that you can use isobuster to read original game disks. |

Samor I've read quite thoroughly. The developer has posted this in the xbox-scene forums: "To extract x360 games, put the game into the drive ( drive on your PC) and use ultraiso or isobuster and select "extract image"... choose ignore errors..." Yes I know the quote says x360 but the process is the same. JkKdArK: One of the noob questions posted in this board is how to read the xbox dvds on a pc. The reply is now that the pc can read the discs with an adapter. I'm sure the massive legions of turok evolution fans that no longer have an xbox to play it on will all be happy, but if anyone does do any further work on the cxbx source this could be useful. |

That's why you can use XBOX ISO extractor tools. For example, you could use the program 'xISO Extractor' to extract the files out of the ISO you created using the method described above. So then this WOULD be an option for unmodded XBOX users to use this emulator. Quote:

Read xbox original disks on a pc
I've looked at the drive mod and it adds the functionality for when it is plugged in to the xbox itself but when flashed with the firmware it seems that the drive can read originals in the pc without the drive being modded. Just wanted to be clear. |

First of all, this thread is old. Your awnser is in the first stiky, read it ![]() http://forums.ngemu.com/cxbx-officia...e-posting.html And another thing, those dvd firmwares only work on Samsung and Phillips (and maybe Thompson) DVD drives. So unless you have one of those and a soldering iron, you're out of luck ![]() EDIT: This thread just won't f**king die. I think it's about time to lock it and throw away the key if you ask me.
