question for caustik about a differnt project

Ok, I know cxbx converts the calls in the exes from the wacky version of windows the xbox runs to the version of windows we all know and use *not love* every think of going the other way? changing pc games into xbox games? MS might even buy that from you.

yeah but how much harder is it then just changing cxbx when its done? all the work is basically done. you just gotta make it go the other way.

IIRC, there's already multiple ports of pc games for xbox, homemade, including quake and quake 2. check out this list of homebrew games. It has a couple ports in it. Although, i'm not so sure on how recent it is...

About as hard as starting over from scratch. There are a few things supported by the Xbox kernel and hardware that the PC can't do natively. These have to be emulated. There are a lot more things that a PC can do and an Xbox cannot. It would require tremendous amount of work to achieve, without any real usefulness.
