... of which is probobly no relevence to anyone/thing but, here it is. If you put cxbx.dll into your c:\windows\system32 directory, games that have been converted into exe by cxbx can be run directly (e.g double click on default.exe and it opens). Im sure something so small and stupid has probobaly been discoverd and shown to everyone else in the past, but I thought I should share it with you anyway... thats all, quite stupid really...

Re: A little discovery...
I do not recommend this, because I believe windows has a tendency to cache .dll's, and when you upgrade Cxbx later on, you may have some real confusion with the wrong .dll being loaded.

Re: A little discovery...
Caustik - perhaps it might be worthwhile having an option to copy the dll to the xbox game directory when making the exe?
That way there won't be the need to load the Cxbx gui every time. |

Re: A little discovery...
Or even better, assosiate (however you spell it) cxbx with xbe files, so when you open them, cxbx automaticly converts it to exe and runs it, but still have the option to open its GUI for changing plugins n stuff... Oh yea, is cxbx going to have a plugin system like the playstation emulators? It could have wonderful people (e.g lewpy, ector pete bernet) making even more wonderful plugins... I'll shut-up now shall I?

you can already associate Cxbx with xbe files (you just have to do it manually through file options in explorer). the only thing to add would be a flag on the command line that tells Cxbx not to load the GUI.
the reason why cxbx is already capable of being associate with xbe files is that it accepts as the first parameter on the command line the xbe filename to load and execute. |

Re: A little discovery...
Hey, it works! Although it still crashes when I load GBAX, oh well... What about the no GUI command, has it not been programed or is it there already? Great work caustik.
