Re: Mouse / joystick support ?
I have a little problem with my PSX controller and CXBX. (I have the PSJOY converter)
When I try to configure one key, it automatically maps to an axis of one of the joysticks, and I can't assign another button. How could I solve this??? |

Re: Mouse / joystick support ?
i think the problem is related to the joystick deadzone being smaller than cxbx's minimum theshold for detecting movement. this can be fixed by throwing in a configurable threshold or something. I will get around to this sometime.

Re: Mouse / joystick support ?
not really, thats not how the mouse on cxbx works. When you look up in halo, you move the stick up until you get there, whereas, with the PC mouse a diffrent area on the mousepad is a diffrent bit of the screen. So every time you'd want to look up, you'd need to move the mouse back to center (but I think someone could overcome that...)

Re: Mouse / joystick support ?
once retail games start running (playable), I will make many improvements and new options for user input. There could easily be a mouse mapping mode that works well for FPS games.
incidentally... unfortunately, i am not going to be working on Cxbx full time for a while. hopefully when i finish setting up my room at home i can put some late night hours into it.. |
