To Betamax: "please read this"
Not that I want to continue the subject posted in that thread but the link you gave points to the old "vBulletin Message NGEmu ... closing forever. Please go here for more details" message.
Perhaps posting to http://207.44.203.86/forums ...etc would be better? |

Re: To Betamax: "please read this"
Actually in this we can make an expection. Basically the clue is in his post
.It appears that your ISP still hasn't updated their lists yet, in other words the www.ngemu.com address is still pointing to the old ngemu v1 server for you. Hence you're accessing the site via it's ip address (207.44.203.86). The link is correct, and it will work fine once your ISP points to the correct site. A few other things won't work either if you access the site that way, one of which is the pm system .

Re: To Betamax: "please read this"
Not unlike the majority of your own posts I might add. Tone down the comments of face the consequences. Consider this your second formal warning. Another note has been added to your record.

turns out it was a mistake of my own. I am running one of those "make your 56kbps internet connection faster" programs. It works but it does so by storing ip info locally. Thanks for the pointer betamax.

Re: To Betamax: "please read this"
I second TerrorShocked opinion. I'm on 56k myself and the one time I tried one of those I noticed nowt of a difference. One thing I'd like to add is those programs are usually stuffed with spyware, so I'd download adaware and see if there's any leftover crap it installed.

It is FreeNet99 - programmed by a hobbyist - and is definitely not a spyware program.
Although it does make a small difference there are other programs usually bundled on magazine cd's that make a lot more difference. I've had thiss and lavasoft running for a while tho, so I think I'll keep it now I've set it to update ip's automatically. |
