Controller Input Problem.

Controller input problem.

I have a Logitech WingMan Gamepad Extreme (usb), working correctly. Each time I try to map a button to the game pad, it automatically maps to: "Positive X Axis" (See attached.). When the pad is disconnected, cxbx maps to the keyboard and mouse normally. This happens to every xbox mappable key.

Thanks

Re: Controller Input Problem.

Sounds like the positive X axis is stuck and constantly triggering the input detection. Does your gamepad configure and work fine in other apps?

Re: Controller Input Problem.

I get this problem in certain games with my playstation controller adaptor (I get it in epsxe, but not project 64 with N-Rage Input).

I think it might have to do with how big the emu considers the dead spot to be on the controller's anolog axis.

Maybe a configurable dead spot setting would help?

Re: Controller Input Problem.

I think that would work, my pad is a sensor pad, if you press a button, it works kinda like a racing wheel. It must be too touchy.

I got the same very problem. I got a xbox to usb adapter and the back triger totaly **** up the detection. if i want to be able to use it i must push both back trigger to mid posistion (ouch) and then it doesn't interfere.
look like it's a driver probleme cause both trigger are detected reverse (i.e.: those are detected fully pushed).
Maybe our master mind caustik can do a modified version of the Xid driver from Grooveyard funk ^^;

Re: Controller Input Problem.

Configurable dead zone might be be a good idea. I'll stick it on my todo list
