Even the regionless DVD ROM need a special firmware. XBOX disc not that easy to read in normal PC DVD ROM.

heh heh thanks for confirming galway. but u can make it regionless even if it starts out wit a region well its easy if u have xp anyways u just use a firmware upgrade that doesnt work wit your drive run it then use one that does work run it reboot go to control panel system hardware and there u will see no region is set and u have 2 more choices for which region on that drive. u can keep it regionless like that.

I don't use XP, but surely it's exactly like what a DVD player do. WinDVD and PowerDVD have 5 time [depend on the DVD drive] "extra" chance to change the region, before it became permanent. I've used one before I upgrade the firmware into RPC1. Now I don't even need to select what region I want to play. Thanks to Pionner for that

does anyone know if the philips cdrwdvdrom combo 2010 model has hacked firmware available so it can read xbox dvds if anyone can confirm yes or no id appreciate it
