Re: Pre-Release Screenshots

Hope there will be a next release or pre release soon.
then everyone can test the new version.

That about KSetTimer i have seen it also before in Need for Speed hot persuit2.

Caustic there is also a Media Player demo for xbox that plays a movie about a motorbike.
its in the same place these demo`s are from.

Re: Pre-Release Screenshots

I made some improvements to cxbx which will be added to cxbx somewhen in the future (when caustik has time to take it into the CVS). Here are to pre-release screenshots:

I also added some DirectMusic support, so now music can be played
(Sounds nice).
More info can be found at: http://www.caustik.com/kingofc/

Re: Pre-Release Screenshots

The problem was that DirectX's REF (Software) mode is buggy. It can't handle this mesh stuff correctly, don't know why. So this demo runs only in HAL (hardware accelerated) mode. That was the main problem.

Re: Pre-Release Screenshots

I hope so... Is caustik planning on working on any other XDK's at the moment, or is that still to far away?

Re: Pre-Release Screenshots

Monkey Man, you don't know what this "monkey" can do. Better not mentioned that disgraceful word. They deserve a better congreat than that.

Back to topic, the progress of this emulator is very impressive, and yes thats damn impressive. I hope the development will go smoothly. Good luck team

Fine. Holy F****ng coweoley! That better? I dont want to piss off any admins with language. I think these guys are masters of c, or kings I guess. So don't you tell me that I don't think highly enough of them. By the way... Why would you waste a post telling me that I shouldn't say monkey in front of holy? You ok there?

Yeah. Sorry for flaming. You may now get back to the topic.

Re: Pre-Release Screenshots

Nope you're right . just an expression like he said ..

i wonder if Caustik can make an assumption of when games could be played or which system it would take for a full speed game to run .

Re: Pre-Release Screenshots

Well, I could guess, but Im not caustik, so they ma be wrong. I think we'll be playing games at around nov2k3-feb2k4. I think they would be 'playable' on a 1.8Ghz over 256mb and upwards on a gf4 ti440/radeon 9700. But thats just what I think... I could be wrong...
P.s, how many poly's are in that xbox controller?

Re: Pre-Release Screenshots

I don't want to going off topic, but I will explain a little about that. IMO, better use "damn clever" or something like that rather than "holy monkey". The negative thinking would be gone with it's words combination. OK, that finished. We need not to discuss that anymore.

Back to topic. chaosblade, I also wondering what kind of system that will run this smoothly.
