How does Cxbx run on your machine?

Hey all, been meaning to ask this for a while, but just never did until today.

I noticed after I updated my drivers sometime ago, Cxbx and many apps started running slower and less efficiently. Turok runs fine still though.

Remember Panzer Dragoon Orta? Before the update everything ran at acceptable speeds (60+), no less. Now the intro screens are running at 25 fps, and the menus only hit 5 or 6. The same things is happening with some other xbdev.net demos. So is anyone else experiencing this? NVIDIA's drivers have been screwing up alot lately and overall aren't showing much improvement (if any) and are continuing to break more games (new and old). Just thought I'd ask.

Oh yeah, and don't click the 4th option just because your favourite game won't work, please.

Um... I'm not reffering to what's playable (commercial) but anything that shows gfx. I know what Cxbx can and can't play so no need to remind me, kthnx. Also I was asking those who actually use it other than to play turok. No offense, but if you don't use it, why post?

The real purpose of this poll is to help diagnose any unusual problems to sort them as Cxbx related or host machine related. It doesn't have to be with a commercial game either. So none of you have ever tried to run any other games that go either ingame or reach menus? Oh yeah, I forgot... the member base of this forum has changed and they in general don't care about homebrew anymore, no offense >.>

Now, look at this. Below is a screenshot of Turok running on my machine. See how the textures look "dirty" or "full of holes"? I always get black pixels in most textures running this on my machine. My other machine does not do this and Caustik's doesn't either. Anyone else having this problem?

Can you detail which specific drivers from Nvidia have caused problems?

Cxbx (SVN HEAD) is running smooth here with current Nvidia drivers (175.19). Do you have problems with other D3D apps besides Cxbx?

I don't remember exactly. It's been a problem for a while now.

Yes, many actually. Many Direct3D games are broken on my PC (sometimes problems are worse on XP64 than on the 32-bit version). Issues include speed (Halo, Aliens vs Predator, Iron Storm, and many more), broken gfx (Theif: Deadly Shadows, and more) and others crash occasionally (Half Life). With Xeon, I have the same issues with speed. Before the update I could easily run Xeon at 72fps steadily, now I can barely get/maintain 20fps without the frame limiter. As for the dirty textures with Cxbx, I do believe it's my video card because when I first built this machine, I had forceware 66.xx and had no problems with anything except a game called Axy Snake.

Yeah, I noticed that too, but if you look at the revision history you'll see that Caustik only made a small change to a Makefile of libcxbe.

But no matter how small the change, it's a good sign : it's proof he's still interested the Xbox emulation...

No, and the most recently updated source branch hasn't been uploaded yet.

Actually I was referring to the stuff I did previously.
