how can i get bleemcast to work

hey i got bleemcast today but i cant get it to work on my dreemcast

What is the manufactured date of your Dreamcast (information on the label on the bottom of the system)?

And, what exactly happens when you try to start it? Do you get the bleemcast! screen? Does the first GT2 screen appear at all? Specifics help a LOT in figuring out what might be happening!
