got it to work ^^
i use the newest daemon tools and it works...
the only funny thing is that windows says there is no cd in the (virtual) drive. but chankast recognizes the game and plays it normally...strange

ok this is funny, installing and using daemon tools 3.46 let open the cd on windows, but chankast will give a ioControl error, now installing and using daemon tools 3.44 wont let open the cd on windows but chankast will be able to run it

fun huh?

hmm... wierd. for me, 3.46 doesn't let me browse the image AND it gives me an IOError.

I think a number of people got their backup of doa2 LE from the net; AFAIK there is a very well known version around that doesn't work on chankast, probably because the ppl who made the backup altered something.

Well, you modifiy the image, and that's all peachy, but does anyone ACTUALLY know WHY do we have to do this modification?

Howcome the unaltered copy does not work? Vga/NTSC is implemented in 0.2a , so what is missing in order for us to be forced to make this modification?

I just want to know what is wrong with the original copy, or what is wrong with chankast so that it wont boot this unaltered image.

Its due to the 1ST_READ.BIN having the Echelon scene intro that causes Chankast to not load the game.

hello

looks like ive got some problems with fastboot utility

when i run b2b_game.bat to create the fixed image of doa2le no image is created at all...
at the end of the process there's not a cdi file in the main dir...

im sure ive copied those 2 bin files into the data dir (together with the game files, of course)

this is my "b2b_game.bat":

"tools\mkisofs -C 0,0 -V GAMECAST -l -o data.iso data
tools\bin2boot data.iso
del data.iso
del *.tmp"

is it right?

How is your stability on this? I got it patched and mounted in DT 3.29 and it runs the game and all, but I was going through with Tina and at the Zack fight it just froze up. I was curious if people played for a long time and had no problems.
