Some games not working correctly with the L & R triggers (chankast alpha 0.2)?

I noticed in Crazy Taxi 2 that , despite of trying different buttons/axes, the game acts as if the L & R triggers (used for gas/brake) are only lightly pressed. Simply put, you can't go full throttle. In other games, like for example MSR, it works normally. Did others experience the same problem and/or know a solution?
