Thumbs up Chankast v0.2 & 0.25 compatibility thread

Lets start here a now compatibility thread on the new version:

Marvel Vs Capcom 2: full playable (great improvements from version 0.1); use capcom hack
Capcom Vs Street Fighter 2: full playable (near perfect); use capcom hack.

I'm going to test Shenmue 1 & 2, but if anyone has tested them, post here the results and other games too.

Great work Chankast team

Resident Evil : Code Veronica : fully playable (no more crashes), with the "useZwrite" option the menu is nearly perfect (EKG health screen showes small glitch) .

Dead or Alive 2 Limited Edition : freezes after the SEGA logo (black screen) just like in the Chankast Alpha 0.1

Shenmue 1 : Fully playable, use "useZwrite" option.

Sonic Adventure 2 : unplayable (hangs in the same spot in the middle of the 1st mision as Hero and after 1st boss fight as Vilain), graphics almost perfect using "useZwrite" option.

Virtua Tennis : unplayable (invisible charakters), menu craphic got better since Chankast Alpha 0.1.

Sword Of The Berserk : fully playable (no more crash after 1st boss battle), sound ond speed improvements.

Phantasy Star Online: Same problems as on 0.1, problems with layers, glitches in graphics
F355 Challenge: now hangs on the sega logo instead of AV error
Dead Or Alive 2 LE: same as F355
Super Street Fighter 2X: Playable same as 0.1 but background graphical errors much worse.

Just wanted to say that you can also add compatibility reports directly to our compatibility list:
http://www.ngemu.com/dc/chanka.php?action=compat

and I'll make this thread a sticky as well.

Guilty Gear X: Perfect, just no music. Slows down on certain parts.
Works under Win2k Pro SP3.

to the ati users amongst us: I just managed (after a lot of hassle) to get through Sonic Adventure 2's first stage in wireframe mode (since there's a bug with nvidia cards, and I have one), and the game continued just fine now ...however, knuckles' stage is even more unplayable in wireframe mode than Sonic's one
I think Ati users are going to have some fun with this game though

Shenmue II is fully playable. The graphical glitches can be fixed by activating ZWrite and AlphaTest Zwrite option.

How'd you get DOA2 running? It crashes the EMU after the Sega logo for me (I have the "LE" version of DOA2).

Star Wars Demolition hangs after 1 second of the game start ( if i used capcom hack only to reach that without capcom hack stops at the menu after saving to memory card )

Resident Evil Code Veronica = Playable, the sound goes wrong after a few scenes, it will hang the emulator if the sound is not going good and an FMV tries to play.
Guilty Gear = Playable, perfect Graphics, little slower than 0.1 still no CDDA
Capcom vs SNK Pro = Playable, need to use capcom hack, good graphics, better not use AF for this one it will make some glitches to be seen on characters.
Dead or Alive 2 LE = Not playable, Hangs on sega screen.
Resident Evil 3 = Not playabe, Black Screen.

I'm not sure which version of Dead Or Alive 2 I have. Mine is just called Dead or Alive 2.cdi here's what i've done to play it on Chankast 2.0a

First install Alcohol 120% (newest version) then go to Emulation and enable RPMS emulation and mount the image using that. Mine works just fine in Chankast, except I can't get higher then 18 to 20 fps which sux for gameplay, but the graphics are sw3333t. I'm using my dreamcast bios (ntsc/american) and haven't had any problems with it so far, perhaps u guys have a bad bios???
also am using VGA as cable...
