I have tried speedpig and it does raise my fps, but the games still run the same even though they say 110 fps. Another thing about the app is that slower is faster and faster is slower because of a some bug the app has.

Well, when people get impatient with the progress of an emulator, you get crap like that.

no,it's not dangerous. my pc does not support sofware oc ie:bios setting and there is nothing can oc my pc using any program ( except hardware oc). Its do not make my pc hotter but its will ruin your clock and processor accuracy(it's run faster if you slide it left and also you need click faster). fortunately speedpig can make another emu like visualboy advance run faster if you slide the slider to the right(experiment with it).
i think speed pig is only working on program/emu that not resources demanding (not 100% all time ).

Speedpig is based on the same idea as another piece of software (commercial) called SpeederXP which can be seen on the link below

http://www.speederxp.com/en/

and in the details it says it changes the speed of the cpu, which would be the FSB (i dont think Multipliers can be changed by software).

If your pc doesnt support any means of fsb changing (which is highly unlikely) then any speed increase you feel is purely psychological

The author of speed pig made other useful utilities as well
don't be so quick to knock down someone's work like that
im pretty dissapointed that an admin would cut down an author's work like that

If you don't like it, don't let the door hit you in the ass.

I myself got kinda pissed when i heard about the chankast utilities. They really should have obtained a head nod from the authors. More of a moral thing than a legal thing.

They sent them an email for permission and they have the Chankast Utilities topic which is about 5 pages now on the Chanka Official Forum. The Chanka Team have completely ignored them meaning they really don't care so stop bringing these guys down because they did what they were supposed to do.

It does not change the speed of the CPU, the refresh cycle time specified by the chipset.. it's universal because there are only two variations of the chip.

well that's fine that they asked, but it would have been proper if they had waited for approval, instead of making the decision to release the hack on their own

Anyways they could have simply avoided the problem by keeping the utilities seperate instead of trying to hack them into the emu.

1) because I'm an admin doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion
2) It's not someone's work, just a few hacks on someone ELSE's work. I agree with poursoul and liquid. Seems you manboy, don't have a clue what you're talking about. I guess you don't remember what hacks did to emulation projects in the past.
