Wow, I've never seen so excited about a single emulator as I am looking forward to the development of Chankast! These guys must really be smart to finally emulate the DC. Good job and happy coding!!

No, they wont. SSE is used to boost FPS in the emulator. May in a few years when everyone has uber fast ****, then maybe they will remove it. But for the moment, its needed or else we get about a ~20fps drop. Now you dont want that, do you? Just go to www.pricewatch.com and buy no less than an AMD Athlon XP 1800+, and that should be reasonable.

Ahh how about no. Whats more reasonable is a check box in the settings that enable sse and disable sse. K Thnks.

That's a little ridiculous. SSE is not something that should be removed from anything, ever. SSE is like MMX on crack.

Furthermore, if your processor doesn't support SSE, you probably wouldn't get anything close to playable speed with or without SSE. Athlon XPs have been around for probably 2 years now. For about the price of a Gamecube game you could have your computer running Chankast. Given these circumstances, it's a little unreasonable to ask the authors to code something -retarded- so you can run the program they've already totally beasted up.
