Yes it should work in the future, since it's working on a real dreamcast. Be patient and wait for future realises. |

I believed all version of Utopia discs work, but none of them will atcually boot any backup games. Just wait for the next release.

The Utopia boot disc is illegal, and thus, discussion of it's use is not permitted according to the rules.

[edit:] If utopia-boot disk is illegal, so would making anything selfboot on DC be. Unless ofcourse they used an official SDK, but I don't think they did (correct me if I'm wrong). |

You're confused. The Utopia Bootdisk is illegal because it used supposively a stolen or otherwise illegally obtained official Sega Dreamcast Development Kit. The selfbooting homebrew things are all perfectly legal as the knowledge was obtained through legal means.

However it should be in a sticky that it is, in fact, illegal.

It's generally common knowlage in the Dreamcast scene. Most legit sites took it down when it was discovered that it used illegally obtained dev kits.
And yes, it was designed precisely to launch pirated games. The authors were a lame piracy group and they got what was coming to them.
